Beginning Jan 2026 Miami might be getting a water taxi service for good. During Art Basel, the Miami Beach launched the free taxi service to ease traffic between Miami and the beach and the service was a hit. The service is scheduled to begin on Jan 20, 2026 and the 40-foot vessels will run approximately every 60 minutes on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and every 30 minutes on weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each water taxi can hold a max. of 55 passengers.
