The RCAF recently participated in AMALGAM EAGLE 25, a tri-national, live-fly exercise executed by NORAD, focused on cross-border air-defence operations to improve readiness for major events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup. During the exercise, an unresponsive aircraft was intercepted by both Canadian and US fighter aircraft to ensure compliance of simulated air traffic restrictions over the city of Toronto, Ontario. | Royal Canadian Air Force

Aircraft from 41 Squadron Royal Air Force Coningsby conducted a long-planned live fire exercise with the Royal Navy, and US counterparts on a decommissioned U.S. Navy warship. Three RAF Typhoon jets, HMS Westminster, a Wildcat helicopter, a US P-8 Poseidon, F-15Es and USS Arleigh Burke used an array of high-powered weaponry for simulated attacks on the decommissioned frigate, USS Boone.
