The first Mobile Science Exhibition unit in the Southern Zone, themed “Water – The Fountain of Life,” was launched from Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum on April 2, 1970. Housed in a tractor–trailer bus with its own generator, it carried 24 interactive exhibits that brought the science of water alive—explaining siphons, the Archimedean screw, water absorption in plants, electrical conductivity, pressure, and liquid levels.
